We Built RecovrFlow Because Funding Paperwork Was Swallowing Clinical Time.
After building virtual reality therapy tools and watching clinicians achieve incredible results with their patients, we kept seeing the same thing: brilliant clinicians spending their evenings translating clinical reality into the rigid language NDIS, DVA and Medicare require. We built RecovrFlow to end that.
The Realization
Clinicians were seeing results, but they were still drowning in "unseen work." They were spending significant time manually translating clinical observations into the rigid language required by funding bodies like NDIS, DVA, and Medicare.
The data existed, but it wasn't assisting the clinician in securing the patient's goals. We pivoted to solve the paperwork problem. RecovrFlow is the result — a documentation and funding-reporting workspace that bridges the gap between clinical intent and funding requirement.
The Problem: Administrative Exhaustion
In the Australian allied health sector, complex funding applications for NDIS, DVA, and Medicare demand a lot of unbilled administrative time — and reports that miss the funder’s criteria get sent back for rework.
Funding reports are mostly written outside billable hours, after the clinical day ends
Documentation load is one of the best-known drivers of clinician burnout in the sector
Reports that don't clearly address "Reasonable and Necessary" criteria risk being sent back
Our Solution: Evidence, Connected to the Report the Funder Expects
RecovrFlow connects your session notes, outcome measures and goals to structured NDIS, DVA and Medicare report drafts — in the framing funders expect, with you reviewing every word.
Translates Clinical Notes into Funding Language
Your clinical notes become report drafts in the structure funders expect, with prompts that help you address "Reasonable and Necessary" criteria before you review.
Backs Your Claims With Evidence
We're building direct data flows from wearables and assessment tools so your reports are backed by objective, measurable evidence — not just clinical opinion.
Keeps Patient Data in Australia
Patient data is processed and stored in Australia, is not used to train AI models, and access is restricted to authorised patient records under the Privacy Act 1988.
A Note from our Director
Christian Doran
"When we started RecoveryVR, our goal was to use technology to improve patient outcomes. But as I sat in clinics across Australia, I realised that the greatest barrier to better outcomes wasn't the therapy itself—it was the mountain of paperwork standing between a clinician and their patient.
I watched brilliant therapists spend their nights and weekends fighting with spreadsheets and legislative criteria just to prove that their patients deserved support. It was a systemic failure that was actively burning out our best healthcare minds.
We built RecovrFlow to be more than just a scribe. We built it to be a digital advocate. By automating the forensic 'heavy lifting' and integrating objective data from the technology patients are already using at home, we are giving clinicians their time back. We're moving healthcare away from subjective guesswork and toward a future where every funding recommendation is backed by science and secured by code.
Our mission is simple: To solve the administrative crisis so you can get back to the work that actually matters—care."
